From vines located in the place - called "Les Mouttes" and "Les Encostes", this AOC Rasteau red wine 2019 is composed of 60% Grenache noir, 25% Syrah and 15% Carignan. The Grenache noir, a vigorous grape variety perfectly adapted to the terroirs of the region brings all its character to the wine, not its power and generosity. The Syrah brings its fruit and spices and the Carignan gives structure to the whole.
This Rasteau is made from a manual harvest with sorting in the vineyard. It is vinified, then aged in concrete tanks for 16 months.
After a fresh and vegetal nose on aromas of thyme and small red fruits. This fruity wine, with silky tannins, offers power and elegance for a pleasure of the senses in all circumstances. Its aromas of candied raspberry and dark chocolate will conquer you with generosity, before leaving you with peppery and smoky notes.
This wine will be ideal with braised beef, game in a fo-restière sauce, or a duck breast deglazed with raspberry vinegar, but also with soft cheeses such as Brie de Meaux or Époisses, or even a chocolate and red fruit dessert.
To be drunk now and within eight years, it should be served between 16° and 18°.
